Project

We are a community of several families and individuals who manage the Seminarhaus Kilchzimmer together.
We are currently planning the acquisition of the property through our non-profit cooperative in order to permanently preserve it as a place with public added value, far beyond our community.

The information on these pages serves as a basis for this process and describes the future use and orientation.

SHORT PORTRAIT

Kilchzimmer is located above Langenbruck in the Basel Jura, nestled in a quiet landscape of forests, pastures, and Jura rocks. At around 920 meters above sea level, the place offers vastness, closeness to nature, and an ideal setting for learning, recreation, and communal living.

The property includes several buildings, guest rooms, seminar and group rooms, a catering kitchen, common areas, and spacious outdoor areas with a garden, meadow, and proximity to the forest. As a special zone for education and training, Kilchzimmer has always been a place for education, encounter, and retreat. A tradition that we are continuing and revitalizing.

OUTLOOK

Kilchzimmer is at a turning point. Much has already grown: a vibrant community, a clear vision. At the same time, a new phase is beginning now. A phase in which we secure the house, develop it further, and step by step uncover the full potential of this special place.

We want to make Kilchzimmer a place where people can learn, research, express themselves, and grow together. A place that sets cultural impulses, enables nature experiences, strengthens health knowledge, and allows encounters to take place.

We are proceeding step by step, carried by the commitment of many people, supported by friends, partners, and everyone who feels connected to this place. Kilchzimmer shall continue to be a place that nourishes, inspires, and brings people together.
